My Woman of Worth

“Today on The Travelling Thought ™ Family Day Thursday, I take time out to dedicate my youth and love for life to the Woman who gave me the freedom to feel young and do the things that others did not care much for.”

As a child, my Mum has given me her time as she spent hours…

…drawing pictures, colouring in endless books…

…reading and writing poetry…

…teaching me how to work in the garden, how to play soft-ball and 5-stones…

…how to hang up washed curtains with the old metal hooks…

…peeling, slicing and making me eat all sorts of fruit…

…watching and playing cricket with me…

But my most memorable times that had me feeling the most proud and luckiest daughter in the universe was when Mum took time off from work to attend my sports days and get onto that start line for the Mother’s race and sprint to first place in a saree! Yes, How unique is she?

A Woman of Worth and an ICON in my life….My Mum.”
