“The Best Day of the Year”

“When I went to my first class in class one in 1986, I did not have the motivation to do anything because I did not understand what it really meant, being in my first grade of school. I did not know then that it was the beginning of a Life that I was meant to live, whereby every day of the rest of my Life was going to be a day filled with motivation to live stronger, work harder and do better striving towards all the harmony the world had to offer with Me in it…

The day I realized what school Life really meant was the day I received my very first accolade and acknowledgement of achievement… My First Award in Class One. It took me a good many weeks to understand that this was awarded to Me because of Me but most importantly, the effort and time my Mum had invested in Me by diligently taking me to the Library every 2 weeks and reading and encouraging reading and writing every day starting from the days before I attended school.

Parents, it is up to You, to allow your children to realize their potential in Life. Do so by making sure you give them two most important elements to strive towards success and that is invest your time and effort in providing them with the two greatest tools of Life, reading and writing.

It was from this day at the end of 1986 where I realized the value and significance that literature had in My Life and lead Me to eventually write and read my very own story 33 years later. The Best Day of the Year was the first day of school every year where new dreams began their journey into reality. ” – Aarti
