
In the Team G house, along with so many other things, I have a daily it-must-be-done routine of eating fruit. So to make it go down easier with tons of fun, we make a smoothie a day. It is exciting as the kiddos get to choose the fruit or veges if we are out of fruit for the day. It is a fun time and it really encourages them to want to be, feel and stay healthy willingly. This is important as we are empowering them to consciously take good care of themselves and love it at the same time. Equally so, it encourages us, as adults to make sure that we are also maintaining our health and well-being.
Sometimes we tend to let ourselves down by not making time for the simple things that help us stay strong. I find that having the involvement and input from my children helps me to focus on that more and most importantly, to do this together as a family. Taking care of each other as a family. This is important to Me and making it a daily routine will make sure that we will always remember to take care of each other.
Family time is healthy too.
Make sure to eat the right things as far as possible and do try to have a balance of everything good so that the occasional ‘bad treat’ of chocolate cake is worth it, right?
Take care of our families. Mums…that is our first job. Cleaning the house can be later on, on that list!!! Haha!
